Error 53: The computer name specified in the network path cannot be located

You encountered the following error message “Error 53: The computer name specified in the network path cannot be found” when you try to map a network drive from a DOS PC to a Windows 2003 Server.
Resolution:
- Edit lmhosts file in the DOS PC to include the IP Address and Server name.
# 192.168.1.1 myservername
[ad#ad-2]
