Firefox can’t connect securely to [URL] because the site uses a security protocol which isn’t enabled

Nov 08

A colleague ask me how come he is not able to access our company internal website using firefox. So went home to try a few methods and manage to find a solution for this.

  1. Open your firefox.
  2. type about:config in the address
  3. type ssl3 in the filter
  4. enable security.ssl3.rsa_rc4_40_md5.

Depending on the sites, some requires you to enable ssl2.
